SCA Resume

Welcome to my SCA Resume!

If you know what the SCA is and why  I have a resume for it feel free to skip ahead to the actual information on the resume.

I am not near as good of a resource for finding information on the SCA as the SCA’s website. If you are here to learn more about the SCA please go here instead. If you just want to know enough you can stay here. 🙂

The SCA stands for Society for Creative Anachronism. In short, sweet terms this means it is a group of people who like to live as if they are in a certain time in history. The time that people like to live in is up to them, as long as it is before the 17th century.

That may still be a bit vague at saying what all you can do with the Sca so I’ll list just some of the activities people do in the Sca.

Medieval,

  • Cooking
  • Fighting
  • Sewing
  • Blacksmithing
  • Weaving
  • Lampworking
  • And even drawing/painting medieval scrolls.

Remember, these are not the only things that are in the organization!

With all that done… Let’s move onto the reason why I want to have a resume.

Inside the Sca there are a bunch of awards you can receive. Whether, it’s because you helped out during the event, or if you make beautiful art/scrolls and turn them in so they can be given out as more awards  for other people.

There are also many jobs that you can take within the organization. Just like other clubs we have a sort of “president” of the club and a secretary… So on and so on.

Those jobs are the reason why we have Sca resumes. We need to know what other people have done in the organization so that people turning over their jobs to a new person know that the person is in a way qualified.

It also helps the Baron/Baroness or the King/Queen to know about all the things that you have done so that they can hand out awards to those who they believe deserve it.

With all that being said, it’s time to move onto the actual resume.
